Mantum is committed to improving environmental performance and delivery quality. To support this work, we have a well-designed management system that is certified to ISO standards 9001:2015 and 14001:2015.
Mantum has Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status in the EU. AEO is an EU-wide certification programme to increase global security and to streamline and harmonize customs management in the EU.

Our logistics
Demands are increasing on all parties in the value chain. Not least, we see this in our customers and their competitive situation. Therefore, solutions tend to become more and more complex. At Mantum we have taken it as a challenge and developed a total cost concept; Mantum Business Tool.
We believe that logistics should simplify everyday life, not the other way around. Together with our customers, we find the most optimized and efficient solutions that simplify, improve and create value for the business. This cooperation requires openness and transparency between the parties. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Our task
Our mission is to make our customers successful. We understand our customers’ business and bring ideas and solutions that create value. We will be perceived as an innovative and exciting partner that develops and modernizes our traditional industry.
Sustainability footprint
Mantum has a strong focus on the environment and wants to take responsibility for future generations. Therefore, Mantum has consistently modern vehicles and machines that meet the latest requirements, as well as a workforce that has broad knowledge of how to actively contribute to reducing the environmental impact of its operations.
The Group’s employees work daily with a focus on minimizing environmental impact as much as possible. This is done by optimizing flows with as high a fill rate as possible per load and as few empty kilometers as possible.
Sustainability work covers a wide range of issues, examples of how we work towards a sustainable future are illustrated below:
- Full employment and occupancy rate with minimum empty mileage.
- Empty kilometres are below 25%.
- Economical driving coaching with the goal of all drivers having a Volvo Connect rating of at least 90 (out of 100).
- Mantum exclusively uses Nordic Ecolabeled Preem Evolution Diesel or similar that has a fossil-free mix of at least 50% and HVO.
- Since 2020, Mantum uses only Euro VI engines
- Mantum only uses hydraulic oils based on synthetic esters.
- All new purchases of company cars should be electrified.
- We encourage digital meetings and always weigh the benefits against the carbon footprint before undertaking physical travel.
- Lighting is being replaced by energy-efficient and sensor-controlled alternatives.
- The Mantum Group is certified according to the ISO 14001 environmental management system.

Jonas Daiss is a road pilot who is passionate about EcoDriving.
Or as he calls it – Heavy EcoDriving.
Jonas started as a driver at Mantum 2005 (HTAB) 17 years ago. Since obtaining his CE card in 2002, he has been racing against himself to reduce his fuel consumption. However, it wasn’t until 2004, when Jonas attended a course in Heavy EcoDriving, that his interest was really sparked.
In the course of the course, he proved to himself that using the right driving technique, which includes using the vehicle’s own torque, not only saves fuel consumption, but often also time.
Jonas told us that he started experimenting more and more on where he can let off the gas, and basically, rely on the truck’s own torque as much as possible. One example is a stretch between Falkenberg and Torup, where he lets off the gas and freewheels for 7 kilometers.
There are plenty of common transport routes in Sweden where the conditions are right for this style of driving.
Jonas has also traveled with some of our road pilots, giving them tips and advice on how to improve their fuel consumption. Some of the drivers have since reduced their consumption by up to 10%. Jonas says it has been well received by his colleagues, who find it fun and challenging to compete against themselves and reduce their consumption.
When Jonas goes along to train our other drivers, the main focus is on two points.
Planning and idling.
To reduce fuel consumption, several factors come into play, such as driving technique, vehicle characteristics, tire pressure & wind sensor.
Now Jonas has been assigned to train more of Mantum’s pilots with the hope of reducing fuel consumption and taking extra care of our environment.
Economical driving
Heavy vehicles, heavy machinery or many vehicles also mean heavy fuel costs. For transport companies and other vehicle owners, fuel is a major expense. Reducing fuel consumption by 10% is a realistic goal if drivers are trained in economical driving and consumption is monitored.
But there are several strong reasons to drive sparingly:
- lower tire costs and less wear and tear on vehicles
- a better working environment due to reduced stress for drivers
- emissions of carbon dioxide and of substances affecting health and the environment.
Training in economical driving and systematic monitoring can be a way to strengthen competitiveness and improve the economy for large haulage companies and other employers. A savings coach service can help your haulage company to achieve lasting results from economical driving training and methodical follow-up.
From 2008 onwards, economical driving will be included in all driving licence training qualifications.
Vehicle
To meet the conditions and challenges of the future, we have ordered several climate-adapted vehicles. Our climate-friendly fleet consists of both gas and all-electric cars.
